Rainy Morning with Poppy

I am mildly obsessed with this dog. Adam's mom found her on the side of a highway one day when she was traveling for work and when she got out of the car and called Poppy to her she ran right to her! Adam texted me that afternoon to tell me that we were going to his mom's that evening to meet her new dog. As we were driving there he said casually "oh and we're going over there to decide wether or not we'd like to take the dog home with us."I was speechless! I'd wanted a dog for SO LONG! But we had previously talked about how we really didn't have room for one. When we met Poppy I instantly fell in love- she was so sweet! She licked all over both of our faces and climbed all over Adam.On the way home we talked about names, I really wanted to give her a name from one of the Harry Potter books (Adam and I are obsessed) we tried several names (Hermione, Pigwidgeon,Ginny, Luna)and finally I remembered Poppy Pomfrey from the books and as soon as I said "Poppy" she looked up at me!When we got her home that evening and got her settled and we knew we had to keep her. She is seriously the sweetest dog i've ever met. I feel so lucky to have her. I walk her every morning and Adam and I walk her together every evening when he gets home from work, she adores her walks! These photos are from this morning on our rainy walk together. Rainy mornings are my absolute favorite! I hope my fellow Wichita residents enjoyed this gorgeous morning as well!
